Description | Large canoe-like boat model of birch bark folded over wooden frame; sides taper to narrow and upturned bow and stern; the bow is decorated with appendage carved in scroll design; birch bark is folded over bow and stern; central open section is spanned by three thwarts; the center thwart is carved in a scroll design; much of the birch bark has been painted black. |
