Description

Large barbed fish hook of forged iron; the top end of which is fitted into a piece of carved wood tightened with iron nails bent back on themselves; a hide thong loops through a hole carved at the top of the wood and secures a porous rock sinker above the hook; several vegetable fiber lashings further secure the sinker to the thong.
