Description | Shaman's kit consisting of a hide thong belt to which two pouches are attached, a cylindrical container and two sheaths; one leather pouch has a flap pieced together in a scroll design which fastens to the front with a white button and hide loop; the other pouch has a cover with slides over on a hide strip and is secured at the top with three Chinese coins; one sheath is of leather pieced together in a scroll design; the other (now detached) is of two pieces of bone sewn together with a carved wooden tip; the cylindrical container is of a single piece of ivory with carved wooden plugs at each end; all these items are attached to the belt with hide strips. |
