Description | Flat female figure, squatting, hands on stomach. On base, but feet are in front, not on it. Inlaid shell (?) eyes. Grimace showing six teeth. Row of ten points carved across forehead. Bands of punctate scarification (?) on cheeks. Twisted fiber with tassels around ankles, waist, elbows, neck. Two-ply twisted fiber through holes in ears, one with a small bivalve threaded through. Flat discs carved on wrists. |
