Description | Decoration of brown and red bands and lines on buff small. Cream clay - fine texture. Lower quarter of pot reserved. Belly decoration - 3 broad bands brown alternated with 2 narrower bands red. On shoulder, frieze of long brown tongues, evenly spaced. Narrow brown band below neck. Upper surface of rim brown with red stripe superimposed. 3 brown horizontal stripes on outer surface of handle. Shape: no foot. Drop ovoid shape. Stepped neck flaring to perpendicular lip. Rim circular with small mouth. Single strap handle attached at mid-shoulder. |
