Description | Hemispherical with slight shoulders and thickened rim. Extending from the rim to the shoulder are two loop handles, each surmounted by an animal head. Halfway between the handles on each side of the vessel there is an incised lug. Band of incised pendant triangles each filled with parallel incised lines, below the rim on the exterior. Unslipped ware, crudely polished; blackened by fire. H. 15.5 cm; D. ca. 24 cm.; W. with handles, 33 cm. |
