Description

Woman's belt of reddish-purple leather with a metal (brass or silver) decorated buckle, two belt loops, and six holes for sizing. There is a punched curvilinear and circle design along the length of the belt. The reverse is undyed and undecorated. In the 1960s it became the style for women to wear a leather belt with a deel instead of a sash. This belt represents the changeover from traditional sashes to leather belts for women during the socialist era.
