Description

Figure constructed of peel: framework covered with woven peel on body and legs, wound peel around arms and fingers. Wooden head, ring of clay around face, inlaid with cowrie and nassa shells (clay broken away across forehead and down left temple). Inlaid cowrie eyes, soft black fiber beard. Red, black, yellow and white pigments in broad stripes on body, legs, arms. Black face paint on cheeks and forehead.
