large. globular jar, tapering neck; two lugs on upper body. with a face on neck; body painted with fishes.

Face-neck vessel. Narrow-necked jar/bottle with an ovate body, effigy-anthropomorphic neck, rounded rim, 2 unknown handles on the body, and a flat base. The vessel is painted with fishes in red and white over an orange (slip?). A modeled face is present on the neck with incised eyes and mouth with teeth. There appears to be a burnished finish on the exterior. The vessel was likely fired in an oxidizing atmosphere as the ceramic paste is orange in color. Fireclouding is present on the body. The vessel is very coarsely burnished. Evidence of usewear includes scratches on the exterior. The catalogue number is written on the object in black ink. No other numbers are visible on the object.
