Description | Tall tapering body, slightly flaring neck, small vertical loop handle at base of neck. Plain. tall. Narrow-necked jar/bottle with an elongated body, flaring neck, rounded rim, 2 strap handles extending from the neck to the body, and a flat base. There are no molded/modeled additions and no decoration. The vessel was likely fired in an oxidizing atmosphere as the ceramic paste is orange in color. The catalogue number is written on the object in black ink. Black ink on the bottom of the base reads 1261." |
