Dance Figure

Carved human dance figure. Human figure stands on a cylinder of unpainted wood with six holes in it from which extend pieces of reed as if for attaching purposes. Extending upwards from the head of the figure is a long pole painted blue and red, from which hang three long geometrically carved ornaments, painted red, blue, and white. The body of the figure is blue and white, and the face is unpainted except for a red mouth and white lips. A "beard" of small sticks runs around the chin. Eyes are of small black paper spots on top of cut shell, and nailed into the head. There is hair of black feathers. Many loose pieces. Bad condition.
