Description | Concave. Martu, nude Istar, Marduk? UE X: a Samas-like god in horned mitre and pleated shawl steps onto a low base, but carries no weapon. Facing him stands Martu with turban, splayed beard, short shawl, holding a slender club. BOth ahve their hair tied up. The nude votary in front face keeps her hands clasped and has locks of hair down on her shoulders. Concave haematite cylinder. |
