Description | Sommerville: Agate-Onyx. Incognito. Greek and Roman Cameos, Case E. Vermeule: Agate-Onyx. Cameo. Bust of a young man, head turned slightly to left. A bit of drapery appears on the left shoulder. The feautres are those of a prince of the Julio-Claudian period and the stone is undoubtedly copied from some ancient cameo perhaps representing Germanicus. 17th century? |
