Description | With crossed thread overlay with tapestry border and bands. Weft threads tasseled by drawing threads through their loops. Fragment, measurements approximate at the extremes as material has many major losses. Brown crepe-y plain weave base, with embroidered tapestry weave border and tassels. Object has one identifiable seam up the middle of the fragment. Color(s): brown, off-white, red, yellow, and blue. |
