Description | As per Robert Burkitt, "A stone corn mill. The stone they are made of is not that of the usual modern hand mills. It is of a lighter color and a different texture. Though the texture is suitable for grinding. Comparitively long and thin, it has no feet; and on the upper side it has no sheer, to speak of. The slight sheer it has is probably merely worn by grinding. The sides are only roughtly trimmed, and the corners merely rounded." |
