Description | Wall fragment of large bell krater. Interior unglazed. Exterior reserved with decoration in medium brown glaze. Area at left undecorated. In middle: 3 parallel vertical lines. Then, left to right: parts of 2 solid diamonds; 3 vertical parallel lines; parts of 2 elements of a rectilinear design, probably checkerboard. Very hard, light brown clay. Identification by Nicolas Coldstream on visit 8Apr82. |
