Description | Wall fragment of bell krater. Interior unglazed. Exterior surface reserved with decoration in brownish glaze. Part of a variety of concentric circle decoration is preserved. Within a set of 6 closely spaced concentric circles, each with a central dot surrounded by 3 circles. Clay tan at edges at break but with a reddish core. Very hard clay. Identification by Nicolas Coldstream on visit 8Apr82. |
