Description | Rubbing depicting the luohan Binduluo Baluoduoshe (Sanskrit: Pindola Bharadvaja). One of sixteen rubbings (made sometime before 1918) from the marble stupa carvings of Guanxiu's Sixteen Luohan (c. 1764) at Miaoxiang Pavilian, Shengyin Temple, Hangzhou. The carving is possibly an imitation of an original painting by Guanxiu (c. 832 - 912 CE). |
