Description | Two open bowls with short vertical rims joined and communicating through short tube and by necked handles. Wide mouthed vessel with a double-chambered globular body, no neck/collar, rounded rim, 1 bridge handle from rim to rim, and a rounded base. No molded/modeled additions. The vessel has a red slip (?). The vessel appears to have been smoothed with a rotative movement on the exterior and smoothed on the interior. The vessel was likely fired in an oxidizing atmosphere as the ceramic paste is orange in color. The catalogue number is written on the object in black ink on the bottom of the base. Black ink on the bottom of the base reads: "3285." |
