Description | Animal Head. Black ware firing buff to reddish brown, also grey. Broken from pots. Characterized by protruding snout; knob on nose, or to represent the nose, flanked by gouged out triangular figures; circular eyes with holes in the middle; and protruding conventionalized ears on top of head. Probably they represent Vampire bats. See also 34-32-288 and 289. |
