Description | Narrow-necked jar/bottle (aríbalo, aryballos) with an ovate body, hyperboloid neck, flared rim with lugs, unknown (missing) handles on the vessel, and an unknown (missing) base. The vessel is painted with a geometric design in white, black, red, and purple. There appears to be a burnished finish on the exterior. The vessel was likely fired in an oxidizing atmosphere as the ceramic paste is orange in color. The catalogue number is written in black ink. Black ink on interior of body reads: "2627G." |
