Description | Woman's shawl. Small mantle worn over the shoulders of women or used as a carrying cloth. Alpaca wool with aniline dyes. Bands of solid gold, black, green stripes of varying widths alternating with bands of geometric motifs. Bands of foreign material sewn on borders. Warp patterned weave. Made on the backstrap loom. Two loom widths are joined at the center. |
