Description

Woman's shawl. A large mantle worn over the shoulders of women or used as a carrying cloth for transporting produce and babies. Predominant black background is broken by solid red bands and bands of geometric motifs. Rolled green material is sewn on the borders. Warp patterned weave. Made on the backstrap loom. Two loom widths are joined at the center.
