Description

African (Papotor?) origin. Used in Voodoo services. Wooden, bottle-shaped drum with a cylindrical shape. The exterior is painted a dark brown or black color and the upper 1/3 is unpainted where the drum head fits overtop the drum body. 5 pegs would be inserted through the drum head into the upper section of the drum to keep the head taut. Drum head is not present.
