Description

Sash woven in red cotton with three narrow horizontal bands of green. Double-weave. Geometric designs of zig-zag and arrow motifs. Brocaded on end portions of sash. Ends are fringed. Made in 1970's.

As per Sigrid Meier, "Warp: 44 epi, two strands, two ply, red and green cotton. Weft: 12 ppi, multistrand, red cotton. Warp faced plain weave. Supplementary weft is single faced. Woven on a backstrap loom."
