Description | Round pot with narrow mouth and flaring rim. Terracotta with smudged areas from firing. Pig face molded in relief on one side of neck: dish shaped, round eyes, snout with rectangular nostrils, open mouth, tusks. Underneath the face and to the sides three molded crescent decorations. Face and crescents are boldly painted in black and white. White area around eyes resembles a mask. Used to store smoked sago. |
