Description | Spirit eye (nierica) of the sun in a sacred circle of peyote, maize, and rain serpents representing water. Antlers are in the lower right and upper left, representing the sacred deer who is peyote and maize. Ants are in the upper right and lower left corners, who stole the first maize from the goddess Niwetsika. (Furst, 2003 p.63) |
