Description | Square box lid (or base?) and pattern board made primarily from one piece of wood with an extra edge added. Cordage secures the two sections in three places. A batten on the left of the painted side is secured with thin strips of wood inserted through perforations. The batten on the right side is missing. The exterior is painted in black with an asymmetrical, stylized design which includes a face, representing the spirit of the design. The interior side is undecorated. |
