Description

Standing female. Tanagra type. Frontal pose wearing long, flowing garment reaching down to feet beneath a shorter cloak which she holds in place with her right hand at hip level. Her left hand is raised touching the chest above the middle, the forearm uncovered and a long fold of the cloak falling down the left side from the elbow. Abundant traces of pink on the front of the cloak and of yellow on the fold on the left side. Head frontal with garment as a hood covering top, back, & sides of head. Back not modelled; circular hole just above waist level. Figure hollow and bottom left open. Standing on plinth with 3 straight sides and back side curved in plan.

Clay at break at neck is brick red. Appreciable fine incrustation in places. Evidently intact except that at present the head is broken off.
