Description | Plaid sarong with figures (tembe paleka-salunka). Predyed synthetic (nggoli). Machine sewn. Made in 1982, Larodu hamlet. Black with overall pattern of complex butterflies in yellow/white, yellow/hot pink, white/hot pink. One row of small simple butterflies and one row of diamonds, in same colors. Panel defined by yellow zig-zags (nagi). In center pairs of trees and small butterflies, again in yellow, hot pink, & white. Border stripes hot pink, with pyramids (tumpal) in groups of four. |
