Description | Ceremonial shoulder cloth (ulos). One loom width. Dark blue homespun cotton with narrow plain borders and eight lengthwise stripes of warp ikat patterns in light blue and white which together create dark and light crosswise bands. Narrow red and white two-strand weft twined bands across ends. Long fringes. An appropriate gift from bride's father to groom, and as a traditional gift on occasions such as funerals. |
