Description | Skirt (sarong). Two loom widths. Red cotton, with supplementary weft patterning in metallic (gold) thread. Bold pattern of six "bow-ties" down the center, with arrays of small rosettes in grids at sides. Unpatterned top (waistband). Said to be a woman's marriage sarong (suji), but more likely a good quality man's sarong (Gittinger). |
