Description

Man's apron (pilu saluf). One loom width. Cotton. Panel with three patterned bands in tapestry weave and weft twining, from which hang 14 long ribbons with alternating red and dark blue crosswise stripes. Worn around the head or waist. Formerly part of a headhunter (meo) outfit, now worn to commemorate ancestors.
