Description

Man's shoulder bag (aluk). Small square cotton bag, the body of which is tapestry weave and twining in yellow, red, white, blue geometric patterns. Edges decorated with loops of small beads, with cotton tassels and triangular bits of hide. Woven by women, used by men to carry betel chewing components, tobacco, money. At death a man's bag is hung on the main post of the house in commemoration.
