Description | Cylindrical, coming to somewhat pointed end which forms beak of bird's head, features carved & painted red and black. Hole pierced through middle of curved beak. Undersurface of head flattened. Other end of rod is circular in cross-section and has narrow but deep channel gouged out for short distance on undersurface. Between this and bird head, the rod is cut-away to half depth and crudely gouged out, deeply concave. Several nail holes near head end on undersurface and other end on top surface. |
