Description

Rear portion of the head of a stone statue. Face is missing. Both ears are intact. Head depicts a male with bald head. At the back of the head is a back-pillar which is inscribed on its back in two columns in sunk-relief, and has an image of a standing god on either side. BACK: At the top is a "p.t" sky hieroglyph. At the left is the title "nb-AbD.w" (Lord of Abydos), above a depiction of Osiris, who holds a composite scepter, formed from a was, djed, and ankh. Behind Osiris there appears to be a feather. At the right is the name and title of the statue owner, above a depiction of a bald man, with his arms pointing toward the ground, facing Osiris. LEFT SIDE: A standing female deity with a sun-disk upon her head. Her right arm is extended and holds a scepter. RIGHT SIDE: A standing male (?) deity wearing a four plumed crown, and holding a scepter.
