Description | Sommerville: Jacinth. Ptolemy XII King of Egypt. A rare stone. By the will of his father Ptolemy Auletes who died in 51 BC. Ptolemy and his sister Cleopatra were married and made joint occupants of the throne. He died in 47 BC and she practiced her charms first on Caesar then on Antony. Greek and Roman Cameos, Case L.
