Description

Vermeule: Sard. Intaglio. (Modern Silver Ring Setting) A Maenad running to right, a garlanded altar in front of her. An inscription in Latin letters at right is carried out in imitation of some meaningless Gnostic type design. The stone is damaged at the upper right, evidently during the course of cutting. Neo-Classic, skillfully imitating the antique.
