Description | Rickety heavy wooden stool made in 5 pieces and help together with large metal nails. Medium brown in color. Yop is oval with short handle on one end. Polished. Decorated with deep incised concentric triangles. Long sides represent typical Djene architecture with border carving, and alternating mushroom shaped and pointed top ped (smaller) windows in two rows. Sjort sides are low and have facing concentric triangles designs, incised. This type of stool was used by elder in the Mosque. |
