Description

Red ware. Discoidal body; tulip neck; two vertical loop handles midway on body.

Narrow-necked jar/bottle with a lentoid body, bulging neck, rounded rim, 2 strap handles on the body, and a rounded base. There are no molded/modeled additions and no decoration. There appears to be a smoothed finish on the exterior. The vessel was likely fired in an oxidizing atmosphere as the ceramic paste is in color. The catalogue number is written on the bottom of the base and black ink on the bottom of the base reads: "1630."
