Description | Wooden Katsina doll. The face is painted white with triangular, hachured areas below the eyes. The eyes are rectangular with one outlined in yellow and the other in blue. The chin has multicolored lines radiating down from around the mouth. An elaborate, stepped, tableta headdress is attached to the head painted green, yellow and red. Feathers and yarn blossoms are also attached to the headdress. The body is painted red, green, black, yellow and white in geometric patterns. A yellow bowl is held in the hands.
