Description | Necklace (phul) with an amulet attached. 4 Z-spun, S-twisted cords Z-twisted together. Several overhand knots and some crepe twisting throughout. Five circular pendents strung through cord, one large central square pendant with two eyes for the cord to pass through. Subject of pendant appears to be Ganesha and Lakshmi sitting under two arches. Amulets like these are known by many names including madaliya and patri. |
