Description | Strips; bent or farsted; broken at the ends; trectangular cross sections with opposed, rounded edges. Comments: EM-LM II. Perhaps raw material from a metalsmith's workshop? Some of the needles and pins could have been forged from strips like these. An analysis of one of the strips was made by optical-emission spectometry (Betancourt, Wheeler, Madden, and Muhly 1978: 8), showing that it is lmost pure copper. Bibliography: Bentancourt, Wheeler, Madden, and Muhly 1978: 8. |
