Description

Warp: \ linen; tan

Weft: \ linen; tan: \ wool; red, green, golden-tan, yellow.

Technique: Tapestry over 2 warps in cloth. Linen wefts floated across behind tapestry areas.

Brocaded band applied.

3 rows of scattered petals large and small carrying conventional patterns. Applied band mitered to form shaped collar. Brocaded with crested rings enclosing a lozenge. Small geometric patterns between rings.

Applied band. Warp: \/ wool; red, blue.

Weft: \ wool; red

Pat: \\\ linen; tan: \\ wool; green

Tech: Red cloth with narrow blue warp stripes at the edges, brocaded.
