Description | Zummarah - Bamboo flute from Egypt. Two flutes attached by twine with six holes on each flute. Mouthpiece is separated. Per Musical Instrument card: Double Clarinet. Egypt. 2 cane pipes each with frontal holes lined up next to each other. Pipes tied together with waxed string at each end (String at one end missing). 2 smaller tubes inserted into each pipe are also bound together with waxed string. Single clarinet-type reeds (see card) cut away from open shaved ends, inserted into each of smaller tubes. Fair condition. Pipes loose, smaller tubes cracked, both reeds in good condition. |
