Description | Wooden pigment box with lid; square shape; lid is ornmented with geometric carvings; rim on all four sides are slanted; knob protrudes from center of lid, incised with lines; right above knob is a face carved into the wood, on the forhead of face is a hole (hole is stuffed with plant fiber), a second hole is found below this one on the side of the boxl; exterior base of box is plain; exterior of box is dark brown in color; interior of box has a red hue from the pigment it once contained. |
