Description | Rim sherd with decorative incisions along top edge. Excavated by W.H. Davenport in 1966 at the Feiru II site (28" - 52"). Coarse, friable, brownish red, and smoothed inside and out. Temper is white sand. In cross-section the interior portion of the fabric is darker (less oxidized) than the outside. Curved outward fromm the neck, tapering from a maximum thickness of 14 mm. to about 5 mm. along the rop of the rim. The top of the rim is decorated by serial cross incisions spaced about 15 mm. apart. |
