Description | Fish trap (bating), thorny liana type (bating wereep) (wereep = the thorny liana used in the trap). Cone shaped structure of thorny liana, thorns pointed inward. Cane ring at mouth, bundled at closed end. Frame covered with leaf of a species of banana. Cane hauling line attached. used in rivers, baited with prawns, sago grub, or fry.
