Description | Arm band made from a flat, triangular piece of wood painted on both sides. The design is of an inner yellow field with three vertical crosses in black, a blue band surrounding the yellow field, then a red band surrounding the blue band. Each band is bordered by a black line. The top of the triangle is rounded and alternates between a black central field, yellow surrounding that, and finally a black border. These painted designs are repeated on the reverse. There are two perforations on each side and strings are inserted. One string has a feather attached. The board is attached to thin, buckskin straps dyed red. A painted, wooden ball is strung onto the buckskin straps just above the triangular, wooden portion. |
