Description | Sheath is fully beaded on one side. 2 basic divisions- top has blue backround with 2 stepped triangles in center of red, yellow and green; bottom has successive strips of yellow and red conforming to knife shape. Outside yellow strip has series of small green pyramids joined to each other. Center of panel is green with red insert and 3 blue pyramids (point downwards) in red. Dark blue beading all the way around the opening. Beading is done in lazy stitch. Rawhide thong attached at back. Approximate age, 1870s. |
